As protests across the country continued yesterday to put pressure on the government to step up its rescue efforts of the schoolgirls abducted from Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State, President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday inaugurated the Presidential Committee with a focus on the Rescue of the Abducted Schoolgirls from Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State.

- Mr. Femi Falana (SAN ), member.
- Hajia Hawa Ibrahim, member
- Hajia Fatima Kwaku, member.
- Two representatives of National Council of Women Societies, NCWS, member.
- Two representatives of All Nigeria Conference of Principals of Secondary Schools, ANCOPSS, one whom shall be a female, members.
- Two representatives of Parents Teachers Association, members.
- Two representatives of the Nigeria Police, members.
- Two representatives of the Department of State Services, members.
- Two representatives of the Nigerian Army, members.
- Two representatives of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, members.
- One representative of the Federal Ministry of Information (who shall be the Committees’ spokesperson), member.
