Man Who Kidnapped and Raped Girlfriend For 10 Years Has Been Arrested

A kidnapping victim has emerged 10 years after she says she was drugged and held captive by a California man who forced her to marry him and bear his child.
Santa Ana police announced the arrest of Isidro Garcia, 41, Wednesday after he allegedly abducted the then 15-year-old victim while living with her as her mother's boyfriend.
The now 25-year-old woman was allegedly recovered Tuesday after contacting her sister on Facebook and mustering the courage to call police after suffering years of threats and abuse.
According to police, after assaulting the victim's mother at her home in August of 2004 Garcia drugged the girl and drove her to a house in Compton.
"There, Garcia provided the victim with falsified identity documents and locked her overnight in a garage to prevent the victim from fleeing," police stated in a release.
Garcia went on to repeatedly tell his victim that her mother and sisters had given up looking for her, but that if she ever tried to find them, they would be deported, according to police.
