5 passengers kidnapped from bus along Lagos-Benin Expressway

Five passengers travelling to Lagos from Warri, Delta State were kidnapped along Lagos-Benin expressway on Wednesday February 27.
The passengers were travelling in a Greener Line space wagon Siena bus when suspected kidnappers blocked a section of the road by Ogbemudia farms with a truck, while the bus driver on sighting the barricade, slowed down, eye-witness reports claim.
Men with guns were said to have appeared from the bush and seized five of the passengers, leaving the driver and one passenger.
According to reports, one of the hostages was allegedly returning to Lagos after attending the naming ceremony of his child in Warri.
Apparently, the kidnappers have already made contact with that victim’s father who is retired army colonel.
The traumatised father said the kidnappers had demanded a ransom of N3 million.
